While watching TV during dinner, Stephen saw a pretty upsetting advertisement for Toyota. The ad depicts a kid who is ashamed to get into his father's station wagon while another kid directly addresses the camera, saying that his mother's 2011 Highlander is more "hip" and "cool". Stephen wonders what the main message of the ad is: it seems to be putting down parents who may not be as well off as others. It also seems that the target demographic for the ad is younger kids, who might be impressioned into thinking that they should be ashamed with what they have. All in all, it was not a good advertisement.
