OverviewEdit

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the forty-eighth Let's Play from Stephen and the twenty-forth cooperative Let's Play with his wife Mallory. This is the second Super Smash Bros. game covered on StephenPlays, following Super Smash Bros. Brawl exactly one year ago, and the first Wii U game covered as a full Let's Play on StephenPlays.

The story is that Stephen & Mal have played Super Smash Bros. for 3DS for a while now and have enjoyed the fun of playing the game, and were wanting to do a Let's Play of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, though they have been occupied by other projects, so as a solution, they have decided to include this game as a fourth Let's Play on StephenPlays. With new videos releasing every day throughout December at 3:00 PM EST/2:00 PM CST, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U videos will be released on the same day as current projects on the channel, including Far Cry 4, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Kirby's Dream Course.

For this Let's Play, however, Stephen & Mal will tackle on the cooperative Classic Mode as the same characters to get back into par with how they did in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with plans on covering other modes in the game as well. This gives them an opportunity to practice each character in the event of Versus matches.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U debuted on the channel on December 1st, 2014 and ended on April 20th, 2015.
