It's not yet 9 PM, and Stephen is getting ready to go to bed. This never happens for him nowadays - when he was younger, he didn't want to go to bed early at all and often associated going to bed early with adulthood. He wonders when the transition between youth and adulthood happened for him with regards to sleeping habits, and asks the viewers what habits they had that changed drastically when they reached adulthood.
Speaking of things that change drastically with no explanation, Sagan and Kepler inexplicably switch bowls during meal times despite the fact that they are fed the same food at the same time.
