Stephen and Mallory start the day by feeding the cats, and Stephen shares that they played with the cats yesterday by throwing their toy into their new water dish.
Anyway, Mallory is missing certain key ingredients to make the food she planned for today: miso, konbu and bonito flakes. So Stephen and Mal set off to an Asian mart in the hopes of finding them and they succeed!
Having acquired what she needed, Mallory gets home and starts preparing lunch, which is fried catfish with rice and miso soup.
It turns out really well! Also, Stephen notes that this lunch came about because Mal has really missed Japan since their trip there last year, and she really wants to go back.
