Locations[]

  • The dorm at SCAD
  • Chick-Fil-A

Summary[]

It begins in the dorm. Stephen just got back from his documentary class, where he watched "Touching the Void", which was about a couple of mountain climbers. He says that one of them broke his leg, and the rest of it was basically that guy screaming. He explains that because of the way his schedule this semester works, he's watching a film for class every day.

The power in the dorm is out, and has been for hours. As a result, Stephen and his roommates can't cook. Dan has decided to just eat cereal. He comments that their two pound bag of Berry Colossal Crunch, which they had only bought two days ago, is nearly empty. Stephen takes credit for it. The power outage also means that Stephen cannot use his computer. This is bad because he has a video editing project due the next day. He decides to just worry about dinner at the moment. Dan (barely audbily) says he'll come with Stephen.

At the parking lot of a restaurant, Stephen tells us he's at Chick-Fil-A, because it's "awesome" among other things. Dan reminds him of a previous day where he said something similar, to which Stephen replies "Chik-Fil-A does have really good sandwiches". He has a gift card for the establishment, which is why he chose it.

Later, in the restaurant, Stephen and Dan discuss the meal, and Dan asks the viewers what their favorite Chick-Fil-A sauce is. He also mentions that he had worked for a franchise before.

Back at the dorm, Dan plays the intro to Sweet Home Alabama on his guitar in the dark, and Stephen flips the lights on to reveal that power has been restored. Unfortunately, because Stephen's computer was on when the power went out, the drive that he was editing the video on has been corrupted. So, he's going to have to fix it before he can do his assignment. It takes the computer 45 minutes to recover the data, so he's gained some free time.

Cutting to the fridge, somebody has spelled "John Madden Football" (sort of) with the alphabet magnets.
