Today marks 10 years since Stephen bought his first Apple product! He goes through his history with Apple, starting from his old 2007 MacBook to his current set-up.
He recalls how before going to college (Savannah College of Art and Design), he had only used Windows devices. He only bought the MacBook because since a lot of SCAD was geared towards using Macintosh, it would be inconvenient if he didn't have a Mac.
After getting used to the MacOS, he fell in love with the OS and the software but after 2 years, he needed to upgrade, which led him to build a Hackintosh that he used from 2009 to 2012.
In 2012 (on Day 1039), he built his second Hackintosh, which he used until January 2017, when he completely replaced his Hackintosh with his new 2016 MacBook Pro. And now, he will never build a Hackintosh again.
Much like Stephen, Mallory has used Apple computers since entering college to the iMac she now uses. They've used Apple so much that they have an Apple ecosystem at home, since they (and Stephen's parents) have iPhones and use Apple computers exclusively.
